POSEIDON is inviting organisations from key sectors to share their experience, needs and current level of preparedness for the security challenges posed by quantum computing. The findings will help us develop practical training and support for organisations preparing for the transition to post-quantum cryptography (PQC).
Large-scale quantum computers are still under development, but preparing for their potential impact on today’s cryptographic systems cannot be left until they become widely available. Organisations managing sensitive information, critical systems and digital services need to consider how the transition to quantum-resistant security may affect their technologies, processes and long-term planning.
As part of this work, the POSEIDON project is conducting a short online survey, taking approximately 15 minutes to complete, to better understand how organisations are approaching this transition.
Understanding real organisational needs
The survey explores organisations’ current approaches to the post-quantum transition, the challenges they are encountering, the resources they already use and the areas in which additional guidance, training or practical support may be needed.
The responses will directly inform the development of the POSEIDON training toolkit and future pilot activities. By gathering input from people working with digital security, technology and organisational preparedness, we want to ensure that these resources respond to real operational needs rather than theoretical assumptions.
At a later stage of the project, free training opportunities will also be offered to interested participants, reflecting the needs identified through this work.
Who should take part?
You do not need to be a cryptography specialist to contribute.
We are particularly interested in perspectives from people involved in:
cybersecurity, IT and technology;
enterprise or security architecture;
risk and compliance;
legal and regulatory matters;
digital transformation;
technology procurement;
strategic planning; and
the management of critical digital services.
The survey is particularly relevant to organisations operating in areas such as banking, healthcare, critical infrastructure and digital public services, as well as other sectors that depend on the long-term security of sensitive data and digital systems.
If the topic falls outside your own responsibilities, we encourage you to share the survey with the most relevant colleagues or contacts in your professional network.
Help us shape practical support for the transition
Stakeholder input is essential to understanding where organisations currently stand and what could help them prepare more effectively for post-quantum security challenges.
By completing the survey, you can contribute directly to the development of practical POSEIDON resources designed to support organisations as they prepare for the transition to post-quantum cryptography.
